Matt Ventricelli The Great Depression was very hard and painful, Kids had to work so they were anything but playful. Available jobs were very dangerous and unhealthy, Construction workers and quarrelers had no chance to be wealthy. The Stock Market crashed and people lost their money, It caused a Depression and life was no longer sunny. Families had trouble putting food on their tables, Life was no longer fairy tales and fables. Tensions grew between all different cultures, Blacks and whites treated each other like vultures. Hoping for peace and living in a time with less strife, Seemed very far away during this period of life.
